Manuscript Withdrawal Policy
Nexus Asia-Pacific is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publishing ethics. Once a manuscript has been submitted through our official Google Forms link, it is assumed that the authors are committed to publishing their work in this journal.
However, we recognize that circumstances may arise that require authors to withdraw their submission. This policy outlines the proper procedure and ethical implications of manuscript withdrawal.
Procedure for Withdrawal
- Formal Request Required: To formally withdraw a manuscript, the corresponding author must submit a formal, written withdrawal request to the Editorial Office via email or a designated withdrawal form (if provided).
- Consent of All Authors: The withdrawal request must clearly state that all co-authors have been informed of and agree to the withdrawal. The journal will not process any withdrawal request without confirmation of consensus among all authors.
- Required Information: The request must include the manuscript’s full title, the name and email of the corresponding author, and the date of original submission.
Important Ethical Considerations
- During Peer Review: Withdrawal requests submitted while a manuscript is undergoing the peer-review process, or after it has been accepted for publication, are strongly discouraged. Withdrawal at these stages wastes the valuable time and effort of the editors and reviewers.
- Simultaneous Submission: By submitting to Nexus Asia-Pacific, authors affirm that the manuscript is not currently under review with any other journal. Withdrawing a paper after it has been found to be simultaneously submitted to another journal is considered a serious breach of publication ethics.
Article Processing Fee (APF) Policy
Non-Refundable APF: Please note that any Article Processing Fee (APF) paid to Nexus Asia-Pacific is non-refundable, regardless of the stage of withdrawal (pre-review, post-review, or post-acceptance). Authors who withdraw their manuscript understand and accept this financial commitment.
Processing and Confirmation
Upon receipt of a valid and complete withdrawal request, the Editorial Office will:
- Confirm the consent of all authors.
- Formally remove the manuscript from the journal’s submission management system.
- Send a written confirmation of withdrawal to the corresponding author.
Once confirmed, the manuscript is officially released and can be submitted elsewhere.
